Happy at Home // 2

 

 

 

I've been home most of this week &, let me tell you, it's been so nice! I tackled a pretty big house project which I was hoping would be done by now, but a little cold got in the way of those plans. Oh, well. I also got to spend time away this past weekend with some good girlfriends of mine & made some pretty exciting plans for this spring. Yay! And, to top it all off, I have a super exciting, slightly nerve racking announcement to make on Friday! It's been pretty busy in these parts, but all very fun. : ) Hope your Valentine's week has been grand as well. xo.Megan

 

Hello, Monday... I'm mean, Thrusday...

I've been off all week up to this point, and now it's time to go back to the daily grind. Better think of some fun, crafty things for the girls and I to do today. So glad I was able to get some cleaning and creative things done with my time off. Here's to a 2 day work week!

Weekend Update

These are just a few snapshots from this weekend. I went grocery shopping & cleaned/organized my kitchen. It felt so amazing to have an organized space to cook in! I also braved the Goodwill 1/2 off day, as you know if you followed my live tweets. I'll have to say that it was one of my strangest Goodwill trips to date & it definitely wasn't my best haul. Mixed emotions about that one. Since I got groceries, the boy & I have been trying to be better about eating at home. I made a yummy stirfry on Friday, then we went out shopping. It was nice to save a little money by not spending $20+ on a meal out. Look at us being frugal. : ) We aren't big football fans, but we did enjoy watching the commercials game with our family at my brother & sister-in-law's house. They made some pretty killer homemade waffles & orange rolls. It was nice to just kick back & enjoy time together. How was your weekend?

Throw a Party

 

I work as a nanny to three little girls & sometimes you just need to throw a party. And that's exactly what we did. Complete with sparkly crowns, cake with pink icing, & guests.

 

Go throw a party. It will make you feel better.

Rainy days...

It's been rainy, dreary, and just plain 'ol blah around here today. Days like these make it hard to be creative or motivated at all. And., to top it all off, it's Monday... my least favorite day. So, to fight off these blues I'm taking some drastic measures- I put on my jammies, made a yummy bowl of oatmeal, and cozied up on the couch with my sweet boy to have a Walking Dead marathon.

 

Add some puppy and kitty cuddles and that should about cure any 'blah' feelings.
