My "look"

I've always been somewhat jealous of people who have their own "look". You know? They always wear their hair that one super-cute way, or they can get their eyeliner just right for their eyes. Well, I got to thinking the other day that maybe, just maybe, I had kind of stumbled into my own "look". I think I can break down my "look" into 3 parts-



// The bangs- They're new. They're fun. And, yes, I know Zooey Deschanel is rocking them now too but, hey, so can I! ; ) // The lips- I kind of am in love with red lipstick. It wears off a little fast for my taste, but I found a tinted chapstick that is great for touchups. // The curls- Not much to say here. I was born with them and I'm still not 100% certain on how to manage them... It feels pretty good to have found a few things that I love enough to wear everyday. Knowing me they'll probably change at some point, but I'll let you know when that happens. What do you consider your "look" to be? xo.Megan

Project // Living Room

 

I'm trying to put the finishing touches on our living room before spring is in full bloom. These prints are definitely my inspiration springboard. I just love the bold colors paired with the soft shape of the florals and the polka dot print keeps things clean. I'm looking for a couple more throw pillows, curtains (I have a DIY idea....), and a great rug then I think I can call her, "DONE!". Wish me luck and I'll keep you posted. xo.Megan

Valentine's Date Night // Part 2

Here's the wrap up of some ideas how to celebrate Valentine's day and save your budget! 

 

 Nothing is more romantic than a picnic, especially a Valentine's picnic. Head out right before the sun sets with your best picnic gear, some candles, and Pandora's Valentine station. Add your favorite cozy brew and you are in for a romantic, yet frugal way to celebrate V-day.

My boy & I have a favorite local eatery that we like to pretend is our "secret spot", although most of our friends know about it too! There is someting romantic about spending time with the one you love in a place you both love. Our favorite spot just happens to already be romantic with dim lighting, local art displays, and a street view of the town. If you and your significant other don't have a favorite local spot, maybe this is the Valentine's to find one! What a fun adventure. : )

I'm excited to plan Valentine's Day with my boy. I think this year will be a good mix of something we will both love & we plan on celebrating without spending over our budget. : ) Hope these ideas help get your creative juices flowing. Happy planning!
